Reading through the consultant report, this assessment near the end of the document provides a good summary:



The jail is inappropriate for most shelter types considered, and overall the hotel model ranks near the top, even when considering behavioral health factors.

I hope someone will track the conversation at the County Council meeting. I will be listening to the Tacoma City Council talk about policing issues during this same time period…
