I'm not currently an outreach worker but was until very recently. I don't need approval to fill out the survey and if you send it my way I'll make sure you get it back asap.
It is critical that actual outreach worker feedback get back to the city, county, and state. I know that the city is punitive towards organizations that provide this kind of communication, especially to the city council, but workers should be presenting the state of things on the ground directly to the city council, anyway. Anything else fizzles out in NCS and leaves our policy makers with distorted views of what's actually happening.

Joanne - do you have the MDC report?  It's a bit dated but likely still accurate.

James and others,
I will be presenting information to a large medical provider meeting on Monday (Elevate health, Virgina Mason, etc). Part of the purpose of wanting to survey the outreach workers and anyone who has experience working in encampments was to provide this perspective to a very large medical community who is poised to help. Getting data would be so important over the weekend.

Please try to get as many workers to complete the survey so I can advocate as best I can for this community.

I will have limited time to evaluate this survey, but I have set aside time this weekend to evaluate it. If I get limited feedback, I will do my best to present what I already know from the many meetings and conversations I have had these past few weeks.
Thank you.

James,
You have such a blessed group of outreach workers. I was so humbled to be a part of the outreach today. I know we can do more to help these unfortunate people. Please consider my request to survey them. I have sent both the link and QR code to you in another email.

Subject: Survey of outreach workers

Hello!

I was told by Maureen that James wanted to preview the survey that could (potentially) be sent out to outreach workers and encampment residents.

The data from this survey was going to be used to elicit feedback from outreach workers and (possibly) unsheltered residents to show what is needed to support those living unsheltered in encampments. I offered to compile and evaluate the data for anyone who is interested to present to government officials to advocate for our unsheltered residents.

Megan, please note:
I have changed some questions-instead of including the zip codes, I asked for the site of the encampments (q 2) and instead of asking questions specific to the COT ordinance (because it has not formally been written and up for a vote and because there are encampments all over the area), I included more general questions that could encompass ANY ordinance that may come up for a vote in Pierce, Kitsap or any city so it could be distributed to any outreach worker working in any encampment in the area (q 5 & 6).

Purpose again was so data gathered can be presented to any city or county council as evidence to support services for any unsheltered resident and reduce any attempts from government officials to impose fines/imprisonment for persons living homeless.

Please let me know what you think. I would like to present to the steering committee and the coalition on Friday for distribution if you wish(?)
